The 6th Annual Festival Nanaimo is a multidimensional community festival that takes place in Nanaimo throughout the month of March. The festival is about exploring Nanaimo, the city we love, through a variety of activities that include great music, performance art, visual art, culinary events, lectures, recreation and many other special events. Whether you enjoy attending concerts, participating in a festival, hiking trails, or walking our picturesque and vibrant waterfront, we invite you to Explore Nanaimo this March!

– Nanaimo’s Whisk(e)y Festival
A lavish evening showcasing fine whiskies, delicious hors d’oeuvres, live music, silent auction and stimulating conversation.

The classic story of Frankenstein with Mary Shelley’s own biography to create an unexpected story about the beauty and horror of creation; combining handmade shadow puppetry, cinematic techniques, and innovative sound and live music to create immersive visual stories for stage and screen.

– 250th Anniversary!
250 years after his birth, Beethoven still stands as one of the greatest creative minds in history; This concert truly features all facets of Beethoven – strength and power, but also elegance, nostalgia, clarity and most of all – pure joy!

Come enjoy a one-hour concert with either Appetizers Bites at 4:45 pm followed by 5:30 pm performance OR 7:15 pm performance followed by dessert bites!

Live music by Triple Shot of Classic Rock, featuring tributes to Heart, Pat Benatar and more of your favourite 80s rockers.

An Arts Club Theatre Production
Mr. Kim, a Korean shopkeeper, grapples with both a changing neighbourhood landscape and the chasm between him and his second-generation offspring. Playwright Ins Choi’s hilarious and touching debut play inspired the hit TV show of the same name.

Ken Lavigne has stolen hearts of concert goers across North America with his captivating blend of classical tenor sound and contemporary style. 3 Knights with a Tenor, an admittedly cheeky title, features the music of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Paul McCartney, and Sir Elton John.
